Parallax is an early stage startup transforming cross-border payments.

We believe that new technology can drive 10x improvements in cost and transaction time for international money movement versus traditional methods.

We pair this innovation with a strong emphasis on compliance and adhering to financial regulations to protect our platform and users from bad actors.

Parallax is backed by an amazing suite of fintech investors led by Dragonfly Capital.

Where we are now:

• Our product launched in September 2023 and serves freelancers and remote workers in the Philippines receiving payments from the U.S.
• The team and our founders were featured on Forbes, TechCrunch, Tatler, Inquirer, BusinessInsider, and several other publications. Mika, our CEO is a Forbes 30 Under 30 awardee.
• As of December 2023, we are processing seven figures USD of payments per month across our early userbase.
• We have a small (< 10 humans) and tight knit team distributed across the globe.

Who are we?

Mika (co-founder & CEO) was a product lead at Ripcord (via the Kleiner Perkins fellowship), Kumu (led to p-m fit; poised to be one of the first 🇵🇭 unicorns) & LinkedIn (hiring team; generated $XM growth). She was named Forbes 30 Under 30 and Tatler’s Gen.T Leaders in 2024. These days you can find her doing Corepower Yoga, finding honey lavender coffee in NYC or writing startup lessons on her blog.

Alex co-founder & CTO) was a staff/senior dev/tech lead. Previously Bizo (acq. by LinkedIn), Narrative (first hire after founder), Homebound (worked on procurement software, AP/AR).
