About the role
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations to identify potential sanctions matches and examine customer transactions for unusual or suspicious behavior.
- Review documentation for customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence, ensuring KYC files are comprehensive, current, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Verify customer identities and monitor transactions.
- Aid in the preparation and submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and reports related to sanctions.
- Collaborate with the internal compliance team to resolve appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to KYC/AML processes.
- Ensure all KYC/AML activities are thoroughly documented and readily available for audits.
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in internal processes, policies, and procedures. â—Ź Proactively identify and report issues to leadership.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience conducting analysis of AML-related account activities, due diligence, and investigations within a financial services institution.
- Proven ability as a strong communicator, capable of effectively collaborating with colleagues across multiple regions.
- Familiarity with commonly used transaction monitoring and reporting tools.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
